I’m on board Royal Caribbean’s new cruise ship Odyssey of the Seas for its very special naming ceremony on November 13th 2021. This video gives live footage of the ceremony which takes place on the pool deck. It includes a marching pipe band from Florida which leads the godmother’s procession, followed by the national anthem. There’s a steel band, there are blessings and then the godmother Erin Brown - an inspiring para athlete from the Bahamas - names the ship with the traditional smashing of the magnum of champagne on the ship’s hull! The finale is amazing fireworks to what was an awesome ceremony! Good luck Odyssey of the Seas!
