Thanks for coming along our journey. We just finished our 10 day journey on the Carnival Miracle to Alaska and we stayed on the ship and did a back to back going to Hawaii another 15 days. It was worth every penny! Both of these cruises were lifetime event cruises. When we arrived in Maui we knew we were going to do the road to Hana and rented a car months in advance. We had a blast but there were some tuff spots we were in. Not sure if we would do it again but, we checked it off the bucket list. Thanks again for watching and coming along our journey. Below is some additional information I got from the web. Happy Cruising! The Hana Highway is a 64.4-mile-long stretch of Hawaii Routes 36 and 360 which connects Kahului to the town of Hana in east Maui. To the east of Kalepa Bridge, the highway continues to Kipahulu as Hawaii Route 31. Length: 64.4 mi Constructed: December 18, 1926 Area: 153 acres Added to NRHP: June 15, 2001 NRHP Reference Number: 01000615 East end: Route 31 in HaleakalΔ Nat'l Park West end: Route 32 in Kahului Drive difficulty The Road to Hana is not a Formula 1 race track - there are about 600 curves and 54 bridges between you and the sleepy town of Hana - so slow down and drive carefully. There are many distractions from rubbernecking tourists to gorgeous waterfalls. It's acceptable to go the minimum speed limit. Overall, the Road to Hana is a good value for all you get to see and do in one day compared to loading a day of things to do on Maui.
