Maximize Your PTO | 8 Days in Africa, Using Only 4 PTO Days

My family and I enjoyed 8 days in The Motherland, and I used only 4 PTO days. How did I do it? This year, our Spring Break trip started on the evening of March 22nd and we arrived back in NYC on the morning of March 31st. Technically, that’s 10 days, and we were in The Motherland for 8 of those days. Since my office gets Good Friday off, March 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th were the only PTO days I used for this year’s land and sea vacation in South Africa. I’ve said it before and I will say it again: Use your holiday long weekends as a way to accomplish your travel goals. We are grateful for holiday long weekends!
