Welcome to Leisure New Vision channel! This time we were going to meet The Sloths: Behind The Scenes - An Animal Planet Exclusive Tour. The Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica is the world's first sloth-only facility and was featured in "Meet the Sloths" on Animal Planet. Many sloths arrive at the sanctuary injured, orphaned or abandoned. The knowledgeable and caring staff members tend to the animals until they are ready to be released onto the sanctuary grounds. Ideal For all ages, this delightful half-day tour provides an enriched introduction of sloths and their habitat. After a 40-minute drive, we met adult sloth ambassadors in the Learning Center. To fully experience the sloths' natural habitat, we glided peacefully in a large canoe along the Estrella River, our local guide pointing out the rainforest foliage and diverse wildlife along the way. Very luckily, we found a sloth upon the tree top. Before we left, we stopped in the gift shop for a wonderful assortment of sloth-inspired souvenirs. Then we returned to port along a scenic route.
