YouTube Video Description↓

After we already had a fun-filled, full day at Animal Kingdom, we crossed over to Disney World's original Kingdom of Magic for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. The party or MNSSHP is a ticketed event. If you have a party ticket, you don't need a park ticket or Park Hopper to enter in addition to the special event ticket. With park hopper, you can switch to MK at 2, with the party ticket we can enter at 4. There was a bit of a crowd at the entrance before we could get in. We tried to enter with our park hopper to avoid the crowd at the gate, but we still needed to get our wristbands for the event. After we got settled, we started by collecting candy on our way to Fantasy Land. Our first stop was Mickey's Philharmagic. Bill enjoys this attraction, but it would close during the Halloween Party and be used as a candy station, so this would be the best opportunity to see it. We were surprised when we discovered since our last trip, they've added a new Coco related scene. We purchased Genie Plus to start our day at Animal Kingdom, and we were able to continue to make Lightning Lane reservations at Magic Kingdom. So, we made a reservation for Peter Pan's Flight, since it's typically a popular ride. Next, was another classic ride, the Haunted Mansion. I wish we had gone back later, after the Party officially started, because the cast members at the Haunted Mansion usually have great makeup to match the party. We then wanted to visit Fronteer Land for Big Thunder Mountain, but they were closed, but we were still able to ride Splash Mountain one more time before the Princess and the Frog layover change. Before the party began, we made it on Pirates of the Caribbean. Later, they usually add real pirates to the ride. We walked into Tomorrow Land as they made the announcement the Halloween Party has officially begun. Now that the party has started, our first stop was Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, where Kari showed Bill how it's done. After a quick pass through a candy station, we rode Space Mountain in the complete darkness. For the party Space Mountain is in a blackout mode. Next was one of Kari's top five rides, the People Mover or TTA/Tomorrowland Transit Authority. One interesting thing with this ride is we could get a better look at the incoming new Tron Lightcycle ride. Another ride with a different look for the party is the Teacups. We're typically not Teacup riders, but with the special lights and effects we wanted to give it a try. Then we cut over to Adventure Land, Bill wanted to get at least one ride on the world-famous Jungle Cruise, there's something unique about visiting this ride at night. After, went back to the main hub with the Castle to view the special Disney's Not-so-Spooky Spectacular fireworks and projections show for the Party. Next, we went back over to Fronteer Land to find a spot for the Boo To You Halloween parade. Such a fun parade with a fun Halloween theme. On the way out, we were basically able to walk onto Pirates to see how different it is with real pirates. The real challenge of the night was finding our way back to the Dolphin resort, since there aren't any direct busses from Magic Kingdom to our resort.
