Our attempt to visit Mossel Bay, South Africa on Norwegian Dawn didn’t go as planned! Due to safety concerns and high swells, the port was cancelled—disappointing, but understandable. However, what followed was 2.5 hours of waiting in the theatre with zero communication. One shore excursion crew member did his best, but unfortunately, some staff showed shocking customer service, even screaming at frustrated passengers. Thankfully, things get SO much better from here! My next vlog features my first safari shore excursion in Elizabeth Bay, and it was absolutely incredible. The shore excursions on this trip truly made the experience! I’ll also share how I stayed healthy while cruising, after losing two stone before this trip—focusing on mindful eating and swimming to keep feeling my best onboard.
