About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Descriptionโ†“

This video is for you if youโ€™ve been looking for a hotel in Cape Town that will accommodate your family. This particular option worked for our family of 5, and is sort of unconventional. In addition to keeping one of the initial standard rooms we had previously booked and stayed in, we upgraded the other room to a King Loft Suite. This suite officially sleeps 4, but all 5 of us were able to comfortably fit in and enjoy this suite for two nights in Cape Town. Initially, I asked to be upgraded to the Presidential Suite if available, but at the time I requested the upgrade, the Presidential Suite was not available. This King Loft Suite was spacious and comfortable for our family, so I can imagine how wonderful the Presidential Suite would have been. That said, thereโ€™s a lesson in thatโ€ฆ because I could have booked dates Presidential Suite when I initially booked the hotel, but in wanting to share with you the most affordable decent hotel option available in Cape Town, I decided to stick with the standard roomsโ€ฆ the lesson, therefore, is if you want the Presidential Suite, or any suite for that matter, book it in advance if it is available, and do not rely on an upgrade because it may not be available at the time you would seek an upgrade. This King Loft Suite worked well for our family, consisting of myself, my husband, our 9-year-old and 13-year-old sons, and my mother, keeping in mind that we had a second room available in the hotel if we needed to use it.
