We did some investigating to bring you the inside scoop of the newest ship in the MSC cruise fleet. From its cutting-edge design to its world-class amenities, the MSC World America is ready to take on the top names in the Caribbean cruises market (i.e. Royal Caribbean!!). The MSC World America will take its maiden voyage on April 12, 2025. Her homeport is the newly opened MSC cruise terminal at PortMiami, now the largest in the world. From here, she will set forth on a series of week-long Caribbean cruises featuring top destinations like Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatan, Puerto Plata, and San Juan, as well as a stop at MSC’s private island, Ocean Cay. Onboard the MSC World America, guests will find plenty to do throughout the seven districts that make up the mega cruise ship. While much of the ship is modeled after MSC’s first World-class cruise ship, the MSC World Europa, there is one notable exception. The Harbour is an adventure zone added specifically for MSC’s American market. It includes an AquaPark, the Jaw Drop dry slide, a climbing wall, a ropes course, a playground, and the Cliffhanger, an amusement park style swing ride. Cruisers will also have a chance to experience world-class dining at various venues such as Hola! Tacos, Kaito Sushi and Kaito Teppanyaki, the Butcher’s Cut Steakhouse, Paxos Greek restaurant, and the Eataly Italian restaurant. Cruise fares are quite afforable, starting at only $595, perfect for a budget cruiser. Guests that would like a more luxury cruise experience can book a room in the exclusive MSC Yacht Club, with private dining and relaxation areas. Interestingly, the MSC World America is quite similar to Royal Caribbean’s newest cruise ship, the Star of the Seas. The two ships are in direct competition, leaving MSC poised to take over the title of top cruise line.
