New York’s Best Views! When visiting New York City, it’s hard not to continually take photos as this city is truly amazing and there is so much going on. To help you, we have put together a list of 7 of the best places to get a good vista photo of this awesome city. Some of these spots are on top of tall buildings, giving you a birds eye view, while other spots are from the water, or from a park to give you a completely different perspective of the city. If you are short of time during your trip to New York City, don’t go up the Empire State Building, as the views from nearby Rockefeller “Top of the Rock” offers a similar view. In my humble opinion, the Empire State Building is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, so I believe it’s important to have it in your photos, which you can’t do if you’re on top of it. Both The Edge and Top of the Rock observation decks will give you great vantage points to photograph this iconic New York City skyscraper. Top of the Rock: Soaring 70 floors above in the famed Rockefeller Center, Top of the Rock is my number one pick for tall building views, as it’s in the middle of the action and you get great views of the Empire State Building and Central Park both are nearby. Also Top of the Rock offers both indoor and outdoor viewing areas. Circle Line Cruises New York City: They offer a range of different cruises, but all offer a magic view of Manhattan and its towering skyline. We did the 2 ½ hour Best of NYC cruise and loved every minute of it. The Edge: One of the newest attractions in New York, The Edge is in the Hudson Yards development. The viewing platform is 100 stories high and has an outside area with a glass bottom (not for the faint hearted). The views from The Edge are spectacular, coving both Midtown and Lower Manhattan, with Lady Liberty in the distance. Central Park: Central Park offers a completely different view of the city skyline, with a touch of greenery and skyscrapers jutting out over the trees. The contrast of the buildings and the park, make for some beautiful photos. One World Observatory: Located on top of the Freedom Tower in Lower Manhattan (102 floors up), offers breathtaking 360-degree views of New York, Brooklyn, New Jersey, and Staten Island. The One World Observatory is best for taking photos of Midtown Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and nearby Brooklyn. Statue Cruises Ferry: Take the ferry to The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island as the views of Lower Manhattan, the distant skyline of Midtown and the Brooklyn Bridge are stunning. Also, as you would imagine, great photo opportunities of Lady Liberty herself. Brooklyn and Brooklyn Bridge: The views of Manhattan from across the East River in Brooklyn are fabulous both day and night. Make sure you walk back to Manhattan via the famous Brooklyn Bridge (1834 meters long) as the views are also spectacular and offer some great photo opportunities of the city with the bridge infrastructure in the forefront. #NewYork’sBestViews! #NewYorkCityTravel #ViewsofNYC #NYCTravel
