I’m officially part of the Order of the Blue Nose! 🐟❄️ While sailing with Seabourn Venture across the Arctic Circle, I had the honor of taking part in one of the most legendary maritime traditions—being inducted into the Order of the Blue Nose! It’s a rite of passage for sailors (and adventurous cruisers like me!) who cross the Arctic Circle for the first time. But to earn this title, you have to go through a few… interesting steps: 🥃 Step 1: A warming shot of whiskey to brace yourself. 🧊 Step 2: A quick (and freezing!) ice foot bath. 🐟 Step 3: A kiss with a fish—yes, really! 💙 Step 4: The final touch—a dab of blue paint on the nose to mark the occasion. From start to finish, it was a hilarious, unforgettable experience.
