About our Bacon Score methodologyYouTube Video Descriptionβ
All of our previous cruises were with Royal Caribbean. Our last cruise was in 2019 on Symphony of the Seas. Awesome ship. We enjoyed sailing on RC over the years. We decided we wanted to try a new cruise line. Many of our friends recommended Carnival. They all talked about how much fun they had on board. RC is more subdued and relaxed in comparison. We spent some time watching Carnival cruise vlogs. The deck parties and outgoing nature of the cruise directors create a very fun environment. We love their focus on fun and the food options looked great too. Our first Carnival cruise was booked for July of 2020. As you all know, COVID-19 shut down cruising for 16 months. First impressions on embarkation: Our check in was scheduled for 11:00 am. Our shuttle dropped us off at 10:25 am. We expected to be forced to wait outside until 11:00 am. Nope. They took us in immediately. We boarded the ship at 11:35 am. 1 hour and 10 minutes from drop off at the terminal to boarding the ship. That was the fastest check in we ever experienced. Not only was it fast, the customer service was the most friendly we ever encountered. Every single Carnival customer service agent we dealt with at the terminal welcomed us and thanked us for sailing with Carnival. They are grateful to be back to work and truly appreciate their customers. It made Laura and I happy to be appreciated while helping to support the cruise line employees. The crew on board is super friendly and attentive. The ship is absolutely beautiful. Itβs unlike any cruise ship we ever sailed on. The colors (shades of turquoise, blues, greens and purples), ornate details and ceramic tile work give it a unique vibe. One other observation is the guests are super friendly.
