P&O Britannia Cruise Vlog – Ålesund, Haugesund, Cookery Club & Final Sea Day

Creator's Key Takeaways
The beach house is a really fun, casual restaurant if you want something different from the main dining rooms.
It's an intimate setup with around 16 guests, so it feels really social and relaxed.
With wine flowing freely throughout, it was a brilliant evening. Fun, delicious, and a unique experience you won't find anywhere else on board.
Unfortunately, it has to be one of the worst we've had at sea. Looked good, but the quality and flavors were very poor.

Join George & Dan from Cruise Escapes as we bring you Days 5–8 of our Norwegian Fjords cruise onboard P&O Britannia. In this vlog we explore Ålesund, spend a relaxed day in Haugesund, enjoy a special Cookery Club dinner, and round off the trip with our final sea day before sailing back into Southampton. If you’re considering a P&O Cruises Norwegian Fjords cruise, this is packed with tips, food highlights, and honest reviews. 📍 Day 5 – Ålesund We joined the Hop-On Hop-Off bus (£36pp booked via P&O) to see some of Ålesund’s main stops including the Parken Culture Centre, the Art Nouveau Centre and Ålesund Church. While we’re saving Aksla Viewpoint for another cruise, we visited the Atlantic Sea Park (tickets around £18 adult / £8 child). It’s home to giant aquariums, a 4-million-litre ocean tank and the world’s largest seal exhibit. Back onboard P&O Britannia, we dined at The Beach House – nachos, beer can chicken and a lava rock steak. 📍 Day 6 – Haugesund & Cookery Club A relaxed morning onboard before lunch in the Peninsular Restaurant. The highlight of the day was a Chef’s Hosted Dinner in The Cookery Club. We booked the Tapas, Churros & Sangria experience (£50pp) and enjoyed sangria on arrival, gazpacho, Serrano ham croquettes, patatas bravas with chorizo, fennel salad, Moorish chicken skewers and churros with hot chocolate sauce – all hosted by Head Chef John Elliot. If you’re cruising with P&O Britannia, the Cookery Club is a must. 📍 Day 7 – Final Sea Day Our final sea day was all about relaxing. We played Uno in the atrium, tried the Market Café Afternoon Tea (£9.45pp – sadly one of the weakest we’ve had at sea), enjoyed a final dinner in the main dining room, and then watched Pulse perform in The Club House before catching one last sunset at sea. 📍 Day 8 – Arrival into Southampton After 7 nights of fjords, food and fun onboard P&O Britannia, we arrived back into Southampton. This P&O Cruises Norwegian Fjords itinerary gave us the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and it’s one we’d recommend to anyone looking for a fjords cruise. 🛳️ Itinerary: Southampton → Sea Day → Stavanger → Olden → Ålesund → Haugesund → Sea Day → Southampton 💬 Have you cruised to Ålesund, Haugesund or tried the Cookery Club on P&O Britannia?
