Port Everglades Arrival & Boarding Cruise Ship Allure of the Seas- What to Expect (HD)

See what it is like getting to the Port Everglades Cruise Terminal in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and take a look at the Royal Caribbean section to get an idea of what it is like to board a cruise ship there (in this case, the gigantic Allure of the Seas). This particular cruise port is the only one we have been to that actually has a security checkpoint before you reach your terminal. That means that if you are in a car, security personnel will stop you and check to make sure that you are a cruise passenger. Next you would drop off your luggage with a porter after you arrive, then enter the cruise terminal building when they will perform an airport-like security check. Then it is off to the check-in area, which was very fast, and then within 20 minutes we were on our way to boarding the ship. That is pretty amazing for such a huge cruise ship like the Allure. We had experienced the same sort of efficiency when we boarded the Oasis of the Seas a couple years earlier. Very good job by Royal Caribbean. This was from our December 2016 cruise on the Allure OTS.
