I got to sail on the Disney Destiny early. Here’s EVERYTHING I did on Day 1 ⤵️🚢 We arrived at Port Everglades, checked in, and walked straight into the Black Panther–inspired Grand Hall where Disney announced our arrival (one of the coolest moments ever, and something Disney does on all their cruises). Spider-Man was literally greeting everyone from the balcony. I think I was even more excited seeing Spidey than my son. I dropped our carry-on bags in our Brave-themed stateroom, checked out the stylish DeVil’s piano lounge, stopped by the Sanctum to see the sorcerer-level cocktails, and grabbed BBQ at Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods. Then came the best part for my son: sliding down into the Oceaneers Club during open house. The kids club is incredible, with interactive elements, themed rooms, and so many activities. We also toured the it’s a small world nursery where my daughter spent a lot of time on the cruise, which is just too adorable. After Loki took over the ship in the Grand Hall (as he does), I headed off for the Christening Party, watched an unreal drone show, and interviewed Susan Egan, the voice of Meg and godparent of the Disney Destiny. Then it was a whirlwind: 🥩 Dinner at 1923 💃 Dancing at the Sail Away Party with my son 🎭 Catching “With Great Power,” the adults-only Marvel comedy show 👻 A quick visit to the Haunted Mansion Parlor 😴 And then collapsing into bed.
