It is an easy thing to do from the Honolulu Pier in Oahu. We attempted this in JANUARY 2022 while we had a late night departure on Grand Princess. It was our first port of call and we wanted to explore on our own without renting a car and without a tour. Princess Grand Princess was our ship on this Hawaii trip and we realized very early on, that you should book your shore excursions from home or there may be no selection for the tours you may want to take. Also, tours cancelled. We took an uber throughout the day and here are the prices: about $22 one way to the Pearl Harbor Entrance, $24 to Hale Koa Hotel (Waikiki Beach)from Pearl Harbor and $16 from International Market Place (the back side of the mall) near Waikiki’s Kalakaua Avenue to the ship. So the day was full, we left port at 11pm.
