Quantum of the Seas: Inaugural San Juan, Puerto Rico Arrival & Departure (with NCL Gem) on Dec. 4

The Quantum of the Seas made her inaugural call on San Juan, Puerto Rico December 4, 2014. It was an afternoon arrival. We spotted Magnificent Frigatebirds flying along side the ship by 1:50PM. At 2:30PM Puerto Rico then appeared on the horizon in front of us. It was then at 3:03 PM that we entered the channel and passed the Fort San Felipe del Morro. At this point the Quantum media frenzy started with a plane flying over as well as four helicopters swirling around as we got ready for our 4pm docking. Along with us in port was the Norwegian Gem who was along side or in front of us the entire way from New York after leaving just before us on the same day. The Norwegian Gem then departed first at 9:58PM while the Quantum of the Seas departed at 10:05PM.
