We get lots of questions about what to pack for a cruise. There are some things you need to have, some things that make your trip more comfortable and other things are expensive to buy on your cruise if you forget them. Our Royal Caribbean Cruise what to pack list will help make sure you have everything you need for your cruise. Right now one of the most important Royal Caribbean packing tips is to make sure you have all the paperwork you need. You need to have your passport and if you don't have a passport you need to bring a state certified US birth certificate and a valid driver's license or picture ID. Right now Royal Caribbean is requiring proof of vaccination for guests 12 and up. The next category is toiletries and these will be relevant not only a Caribbean cruise but any cruise. You will want your regular dental, shower, hair, eye care and any medications. An important note for a Royal Caribbean Cruise is that their showers only have shampoo and soap. So if you are someone like me you will want to make sure you pack some conditioner. In our wash-bag we also like to have bandaids and polysporin, medication for motion sickness, and some Tylenol because you don't want a headache to slow you down. When packing for a Royal Caribbean Cruise these are good to have if you are going to the Caribbean or Alaska. When talking about what to wear on a Royal Caribbean cruise we get lots of questions about shoes and clothes. We talk about swimwear, casual and formal attire. You will want to pack a few swimsuits. I like to have one I can be active in, another for relaxing and a third one so I always have a dry one. Onto casual clothes, It is nice to have some comfortable t shirts, shorts, sundresses and casual pants to wear exploring the ports and exploring the ship when I am not at the pool. We often get asked what to wear on a formal night. For formal nights I usually bring one or two options like a nicer dress or skirt and shirt. For men it is good to bring a couple pairs of long pants to wear to dinner. On most nights you are okay with shorts but it is good to have long pants for formal nights. You will also want a few polo shirts for evenings. The minimum I have been able to do is a pair of sandals for the pool, nicer sandals for dinner and running shoes to workout in and wear exploring ports. It is also good to have running shoes to participate in different activities they are required on the sports court and zip-lining.
