Creator's Key Takeaways
I sailed aboard Royal Princess in November 2023 as a guest of Princess Cruisers.
The cabin was spacious with a separate onsuite bathroom that featured a vanity, toilet, and shower with an adjustable shower head.
The beds are probably the most comfortable I've ever had on a cruise.
Sabatinis is found on the starboard side and offers perhaps the best cuisine on board.

Welcome aboard Royal Princess. This is the first of the Royal Class of cruise ships, built for Princess Cruises by Fincantieri. The ship is 330m long, has a gross tonnage of 147,314 and can transport up to 3,600 passengers. The ship is a large-scale resort at sea, with multiple dining venues, on deck sports facilities, a multi storey atrium, show lounges and even a daring walkway with a glass floor! I sailed aboard Royal Princess in November 2023 as a guest of Princess Cruises. While Princess Cruises provided the accommodation and the cruise, I was not paid to make this video. So come aboard Royal Princess with me to discover what its like aboard the first of the Royal Class cruise ships. -- π Buy books: https://www.chrisframe.com.au/books π Buy cruise merch: https://chrisframeofficial.Teemill.com/ π³οΈ Learn about cruising: https://www.chrisframe.com.au/ SUBSTACK: https://themaritimehistorian.substack.com -- Chapters: 00:00 Welcome to Royal Princess 01:06 Stepping Aboard 01:17 The Lawn Court 01:26 The Sports Deck 01:41 The Fitness Centre 01:56 Kids & Teens Facilities 02:09 Sun Deck Area 02:24 Retreat Pool & The Sanctury 02:47 The Sea Walk 03:03 The Seaview Bar 03:09 Fountain Pool & Plunge Pool 03:19 Mermaid's Tail Bar 03:27 Horizon Court & Horizon Bistro 03:39 The Pastry Shop 03:49 Outrigger Bar & Horizon Terrace 04:14 Forward Facing Suite 04:20 Wedding Chapel 04:24 Laundromat 04:29 Standard Balcony B729 05:22 The Deck 05:35 Vista Lounge 05:49 The Library 05:58 The Wheelhouse Bar 06:14 The Crown Grill 06:28 Princess Live 06:49 Princess Live CafΓ© 06:53 The Atrium 07:07 Crooners, Ocean Terrace & Loyalty 07:20 The Shops of Princess 07:30 Art Gallery 07:34 The Princess Theater 07:51 Club 6 08:01 Bellini's & Alfredo's 08:12 The Photo Gallery 08:20 Medallion Class 08:28 The Atrium (Again) 08:36 Concerto & Allegro Dining Room 08:50 Symphony Dining Room 09:00 The Piazza 09:17 Good Spirits At Sea 09:27 International Cafe 09:33 Gelato 09:41 The Internet CafΓ© 09:47 Guest Services & Shore Tours 10:01 Sabatini's 10:18 The Lotus Spa 10:41 Medical Facility & Tender Embarkation 10:51 Royal Princess 11:11 Finale -- Ship Details: Name: Royal Princess Operator: Princess Cruises Port of registry: Hamilton, Bermuda Builder: Fincantieri, Monfalcone, Italy Yard: 6223 Laid down: 14 December 2010 Float Out: August 2012 Godmother: Catherine, Princess of Wales Christened: 13 June 2013 Maiden voyage: 16 June 2013[5] In service: 2013βpresent Identification Call sign: ZCEI3 IMO number: 9584712 MMSI number: 310661000 Class and type: Royal-class cruise ship Tonnage: 142,714 gt Length 330 m (1,082 ft 8 in) Beam: 47 m (155 ft) - With SeaWalk Height: 66 m (217 ft) Draft: 8.5 m (27 ft 11 in) Engines: 2 Γ WΓ€rtsilΓ€ 12V46F Diesel generators producing 14,400 kW (19,300 hp) each, 2 Γ WΓ€rtsilΓ€ 12V46F Diesel generators producing 16,800 kW (22,500 hp) each Total Installed Power: 62,400 kW (83,700 hp) Propulsion: 2 Γ 18,000 kW (24,000 hp) propulsion motors, propellers Service speed: 22 knots (41 km/h; 25 mph) Maximum: 22.9 knots (42.4 km/h; 26.4 mph) Capacity: 3,600 passengers -- Tags: #cruisenews #cruiseship #royalprincess #princesscruises #princessship #enchantedprincess #rubyprincess #grandprincess #goldenprincess #cruiseshiptour #shiptour #ships
