YouTube Video Description↓

Our first stop on South America was in Brazil or Brasil! After an Atlantic crossing, our World Cruise stopped at Salvador, Brazil, also known as Salvador de Bahia since it is the capital of the Bahia region of Brazil and the first capital of the entire country. We visited it's gorgeous historic old town, the Pelourinho neighbourhood with cobbled streets and bright colonial buildings. We stepped inside the incredible gold covered Church of San Francisco or Sao Francisco. The church boasts over 800 kilograms of gold throughout its decorations. Salvador is known for its African and Brazilian culture with some European influence and is known as the home of the samba. Founded in 1549, the Pelourinho neighbourhood is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We also visited the lighthouse for a photo stop and the Mercado Modelo market for shopping. I was excited for this first visit to and first stop in Brazil! #brazil #salvadordebahia #brasil #travel Music - https://www.bensound.com/free-music-for-videos Chapters 00:00 Introduction 00:19 Welcome to Brazil! 00:58 Capoeira Fight Dancing 01:42 Salvador 02:40 Barra Lighthouse 03:29 Pelourinho Old Town 05:40 Sao Francisco Church with Gold 09:05 Walking the Old Town 10:48 Marcado Mindelo 11:12 Leaving the Port
