Scarlet Lady: Miami Arrival on December 14th, 2024 (with Icon of the Seas & 8 More Ships!)

On November 28th Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady set sail on a 16 night From Rome to Miami Transatlantic Voyage crossing both the Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Sailing from Civitavecchia (Rome) she made stops in various ports along the way. This was her first sailing after returning from Virgin Voyages first ever dry dock and completed her inaugural Mediterranean season as she sailed home to Florida. After 8 strait days at sea early in the morning of December 14th she made her way into the port of Miami. Not scheduled to officially arrive until 6:30 AM the extra requirements of returning to the US after a season abroad combined with a full port meant that she was the first to arrive at starting at 1:30 AM. She sailed through the empty port past all of the Terminal to reach Virgin Voyages' Terminal V at the end by the turning basin where she only had to turn half way before backing in. After passing her earlier in the night, the MSC Divina turned around followed her in to handle an emergency medical evacuation. The rest of the night ship after ship made their way into the port, past all the terminals, past the Scarlet Lady to enter the turning basin and turn around before sailing back to dock at their scheduled terminal. The first to pass was the largest ship in the world, the Icon of the Seas. She was followed by the Norwegian Pearl, Icon of the Seas who docked at the adjacent terminal, Norwegian Jade, Carnival Magic, and the Carnival Sunrise. In addition to them the Europa docked on the other side of the island. Once all of the ships were in port with every berth full the MSC Divina was then finally able to sail into the turning basin to spin around and set sail over 12 hours behind schedule. With her berth finally open the MSC Seascape was then the last ship to arrive and dock at 11am.
