YouTube Video Description

I’ve just embarked on one the most luxurious cruise ships in the world for less than the cost of a Carnival Cruise Interior Cabin which are typically known for being very cheap. The ship I’m cruising on is the Celebrity Beyond it was built in 2022 so super new and according to Forbes Celebrity is ranked one of the most luxurious cruises a person can take. However on Cruise Critic it’s ranked 3.7. Before I booked the cruise I read things on cruise critic that said it was "Very Disappointing", "What a shame" and "Not Beyond Perfect, but not Beyond awful". But now that I’m off paternity leave it was time to give something new a try. While looking for a unique angle I saw that carnival was much more expensive. At first I was thinking: 1. What’s the catch? 2. Is it a travel agent rate? 3. Is it a Florida resident rate? 4. Was it only available for certain travel credit card holders. But no that was the price. This interior cabin was $900/person with $200 onboard credit so about $700 depending how you look at it. Total after taxes and fees was about $1800 even though I sailing by myself. Now Carnival was actually over $3,200 for the same type of cabin which is almost twice the price which is insane considering this is a luxury cruise for 7 days going to St. Maarten , St. Thomas, Dominican repubic and Carnival is typically known for being the more affordable option was going to Cozumel, Nassau and Grand Turk Even Roses infinite ocean view balcony cabin was was cheaper than a balcony cabin with Carnival Celebration and Carnival Mardi Gras. With Carnival being more expensive I started to think wow, maybe I might be bored on this ship? 1. Will there be anything for me to do? 2. Is it for the older crowd… Or maybe Carnival has luxury cruise options now with Celebration and Mardi Gras Let me know…is carnival a luxury cruise line now? Let me know your thoughts below.
