SILVER RAY Keel Laying + Coin Ceremony

On March 23, 2023, Silversea Cruises and Meyer-Werft celebrated the keel-laying of SILVER RAY, the second Nova class ship. Traditionally, commemorative coins were placed under the first building block to bring luck to the ship. The ceremony was attended by Barbara Muckermann, President + CEO of Silversea Cruises, and Jan Meyer, Managing Director of Meyer Werft. The celebration took place next to the SILVER NOVA (IMO 9886213), which is still under construction. The SILVER RAY is scheduled to be completed by 2024. With the Nova class, the shipyard and Silversea Cruises want to set new standards on the way to  zero-emission cruise ships.
