Sitka Alaska Cruise Port & Shuttle Ride, Visitor Center (Harrigan Centennial Hall) & Crescent Harbor
YouTube Video Descriptionβ
See what the Sitka Cruise Port & Terminal looks like. From the dock, you would walk about 6 or 7 minutes into the cruise terminal building, where there are vendors and facilities, including free Wi-fi, inside. They sell things ranging from Salmon Jerkey to even Reindeer Hides. Directly outside is where you would take a free shuttle (ours was provided by Holland America) that will take you to downtown Sitka visitor center (Harrigan Centennial Hall). That is about a 20 minute ride. The Harrigan Centennial Hall is where you can book excursions and tours, plus a staging area for trips booked directly with the cruise line. Right next to the visitors center is the Crescent Harbor marina, where there are some very nice views of the ocean & tree-lined islands. We even saw a bald eagle in flight! You can see our Sitka Alaska tours & excursions playlist for videos of the other places we visited while in town: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKZWB-uCIzwRWGR25sDR8c78Qud3Hzy88 Tip: It rains in Sitka very often, so it may be wise to pack an umbrella with you. This was from our 14 Day Alaska Cruise in June of 2017 aboard the Holland America Amsterdam.
