Antarctica, you never cease to amaze! βοΈπ§ Day 2 began with a dramatic sail into Port Lockroy, shrouded in snow squalls and low visibility that made the icy landscape feel even more mysterious. But what waited for us in this historic cove was nothing short of extraordinary! We had the privilege of hosting members of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust aboard the Sapphire Princess. They shared their inspiring work preserving Antarctic history, running the southernmost post office, and managing a museum and gift shop. We couldnβt resist grabbing some souvenirs and sending postcards that will take 2-3 months to reach homeβtalk about a special delivery! πβ¨ When the snow cleared, the sun revealed calm waters filled with penguins fishing, calling out, and waddling across the rocky shores and mountain peaks. The day ended with a stunning sailaway through the Gerlache Strait, surrounded by towering icebergs and breathtaking peaks. Antarctica, youβve truly left us speechless! π
