The one-off, 1982-built ship had been sold to U.K.-based Airtours, who would be operating her as the SUN BIRD for their Sun Cruises division. SONG OF AMERICA was the link between Royal Caribbean's SONG OF NORWAY class trio of the early 70s and the SOVEREIGN trio of the late 80s/early 90s. She had a fantastic 41-year career and was retired in 2023 after her most recent stint as @CelestyalCruises CELESTYAL OLYMPIA. She arrived at Alang for scrapping on February 1, 2025.
