Where to stay in Sorrento? We stayed at the Hilton Sorrento Palace in October 2020 during the pandemic, but what we did we think? Let's start with the positives, it offers fantastic views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It has several pools but we didn't get to use them as they aren't heated and it wasn't warm enough. Location wise it is located in a quiet area of Sorrento about 10 mins from the centre of town. On the negative side we didn't like our room, it's not very Hilton and in our opinion was decorated more like an 'IBIS' hotel. Because of Covid the hotel felt like the quietest hotel ever, a ghost hotel with barely a person in sight, this is due to the pandemic obviously and people not travelling, but it felt very strange for us as guests to be in a massive hotel and feel like we were the ones there, except for breakfast which was the only time we saw any other guests.
