Post-pandemic and STONEHENGE is back open to visitors again, yay! I visited before the UK locked down for a second time at the end of 2000 and it was amazing. I've been wanting to go all my life and incredibly, even though this prehistoric temple - a 5,000 year old stone circle - is only 2 hours from London, I'd never been. The only reason I was in the vicinity was because I was with my son taking a look at the nearby university of Bath. Incidentally, Bath is another great city and Stonehenge and Bath can be visited in the same day. This video is a tour of Stonehenge and it's surrounding area (which includes ancient burial mounds) and shows why you must visit this amazing and mystical prehistoric stone circle which is famous for being where druids experience the midsummer solstice. The wind was whipping up a gale while I was there which only added to the mystical vibe of the site and its amazing surrounding energy. And as for the mystery of how these ancient stones got there, in the middle of nowhere, in an age where there was no machinery or cranes....one can only wonder. Watch the video to see what I mean... NB - it's possible a visit Stonehenge on a cruise excursion from Southampton or from London for the day
