While waiting for our room to be ready, we stop by the International Café for a coffee and take a look at some of the delicious options available onboard. Then it's off to Oceanview Cabin 5225, conveniently located on the same deck as the Lotus Spa. We take a full tour of the room and talk about one of Princess Cruises' most convenient features—the Medallion. No fumbling for a key card! Your cabin unlocks automatically as you approach your door, which is especially handy when your hands are full. We also cover Medallion accessories, including the complimentary lanyard provided onboard. If you'd rather wear a wristband, I recommend purchasing one before your cruise to save a little money and choose a style you like. After spending some time in the cabin, I share my thoughts on the room. While I usually enjoy having a balcony, this Oceanview cabin was surprisingly quiet, comfortable, and featured a bench seat that made the perfect spot to relax and watch the ocean drift by.
