The 'Railway Touring Company' was to run a series of three 'Swanage Belle' excursions from London to the Swanage Railway during 2011. The first of these was on Saturday 14th May with LMSR 'Black 5'-class 4-6-0 No.45305 (outward run) and BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70013 "Oliver Cromwell" (return run). This was of course an ordinary working day at the Swanage Railway and it was operating its Green Timetable consisting of one steam/one DMU service. SR unrebuilt 'Battle of Britain'-class 4-6-2 No.34070 "Manston" and BR Class 121 'Bubblecar' No.W55028 + Class 108 No.M56504. SR rebuilt 'West Country'-class 4-6-2 No.34028 "Eddystone" was in 'light-steam' in the yard at Swanage.
