The 'PEAK FORESTER' with No.34046 "Braunton" - 23/03/2014

SR rebuilt 'West Country'-class 4-6-2 No.34046 "Braunton" worked its first mainline excursion of 2014 on Sunday 23rd March. The excursion was the Railway Touring Company's 'THE PEAK FORESTER' from London King's Cross to Peak Rail in Derbyshire and return. This train had been booked for "Braunton" originally but got changed to BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70000 "Britannia". However, the 'Brit' failed during the week so "Braunton" was reinstated having returned from the Mid-Hants Railway on Thursday 20th. The tour is seen at Finsbury Park on the outward run.
