The 'SPITFIRE' with No.44932 - 05/09/2010

Due to the on-going absence of BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70013 "Oliver Cromwell", LMSR 'Black 5'-class 4-6-0 No.44932 continued to take over "Cromwell's" as well as No.34067 "Tangmere's" roles for the remainder of 2010. On Sunday 5th September, the 'Black 5' took over "Cromwell's" planned run to Kent with 'Shepard Neame's 'Spitfire' railtour. The train is seen leaving from London Bridge - a station that hardly sees main line steam these days.
