YouTube Video Description↓

This is the 8th episode of theCruiseView's sailing onboard the Ovation of the Seas. Unlike my other videos that feature the ship and let you enjoy the experience of being at sea without interruption, theCruiseView is a guided tour of the daily happenings during the cruise. This sailing features a return to the class that started it all with another Quantum Class ship and another inaugural, with her 11 night sailing to the Alaska. Over the course of these 11 episodes you will get to see in detail every cruise compass, every main dining room menu, and all the happenings onboard during this lengthy voyage. This series will take you into the day to day experience of being onboard the Ovation of the Seas with over 4,000 guests to experience every moment of life at sea and every festivity along the way. On today's episode the Ovation of the Seas makes it's first visit to Skagway Alaska. Tucked around a bend the port is out of sight until docking. Created to be reminiscent of the olden days the city of Skagway is filled with historic buildings some of which even put on performances to go along with the theme. For my day in port I took an excursion on the White Pass Scenic Railway to the Yukon followed by a bus ride back to the ship. After our return the day was beautiful with warm sunny conditions of 20ΒΊ higher than originally forecasted. I took the opportunity of an empty ship with such nice conditions to get another North Star Ride. We had a lengthy departure with waterfalls and mountains leading the way. The night was then filled with games and shows including ventriloquist Ronn Lucas.
