The climactic moment of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure comes after you’ve enjoyed the rich show scenes with Tiana, Louis, Mama Odie, and all the musical critters in the bayou. Once the story has propelled you toward the big Mardi Gras-style celebration, your log boat is carried up the final chain lift hill to a perch high above the bayou waterway. From this vantage point, you get a quick view of the flume ahead and even some sights of Frontierland and Cinderella Castle beyond. Once at the top, the log drops away at about a 45-degree angle on a steep ~50- to 52.5-foot descent that’s designed to feel thrilling but jubilant rather than terrifying. This drop is reminiscent of the classic final plunge from Splash Mountain in both height and speed (reaching around 40 mph), but the emphasis here is on joy and celebration rather than fear—it’s meant to send you “to the party” with a splash and a smile.
