#TravelTips As you can see from our most recent trip, we sometimes travel abroad while leaving our children with grandma… but don’t get it twisted, we do the very best with what is within our control to provide for peace of mind. Here’s what we’ve done, and we are sharing these tips to help you do the same. 1- make two copies of our passports - one copy set was provided to my mom to keep while we were away, and we took the other copy set with us. In the event of an emergency or lost passports, these copies can be provided to the U.S. Embassy for assistance and/or replacement of lost passports. 2- insure our trip and make copies of insurance documents - one copy set was provided to my mom to keep while we were away, and we took the other copy set with us. In the event that insurance would be needed during our travels, we would have our coverage information with us, but if, for some reason, we had any difficulty accessing our coverage while abroad, my mom would have the details as well and could assist from the USA. 3- provide signed consent [and notarized, if possible] for our child’s caregiver - in our situation, my mom - to be able to make medical, educational, and any other necessary decisions on behalf of the children while we are away. Also provide your child’s caregiver with your children’s insurance cards or copies of their insurance cards. In the event of an emergency - for example, if a child is at home with grandma while mom and dad are traveling abroad, and the child has to go to the E.R., grandma can consent for treatment of the child at the hospital. #Baecation #Momcation #TravelBlogger #MommyBlogger ** If you find this helpful, please subscribe to our channel, and hit that notification bell so you’ll be notified when we upload new videos! ** Who are we?
