Tracy Arm Fjord Adventure | Glacier Calving, Icebergs & Glacieritas from the Carnival Miracle!

Join us aboard the Carnival Miracle as we embark on an unforgettable journey into Tracy Arm Fjord, one of Alaska’s most stunning natural wonders. While most guests admire the fjord from the cruise ship, we took it a step further with a special ship excursion that got us up close and personal with the Sawyer Glacier. We transferred onto a smaller vessel designed to navigate the narrow fjord and maneuver around the icebergs. Along the way, we passed cascading waterfalls, brilliant blue icebergs, and dramatic cliffs that carved out this glacier-fed channel. The highlight? Witnessing a massive chunk of the glacier calve into the water, sending a thunderous sound and wave through the fjord. Absolutely surreal! And to top it all off—our captain scooped up a piece of ancient glacier ice for photos and then used it to make us “Glacieritas”—a fun twist on a margarita, chilled with real glacier ice! This was one of the most thrilling and scenic excursions we’ve ever taken, and the memories (and margaritas!) were truly one-of-a-kind.
