I've just come back from what was a phenomenal voyage on TUI River Cruises brand new river cruise ship the Al Horeya (this means freedom) which is sailing week-long return voyages down the River Nile from Luxor in Egypt. I say this is a 'new' cruise ship, but it's actually not new - it's just new to TUI. It was built in 2005 for the Egyptian hotel and cruise group Jaz. This video is a tour and inside look at my French Balcony Cabin #314 on deck 3. The video gives an overview of the WHOLE cabin, looking at the beds, the sheets, the bedside tables, lighting, plug sockets, vanity area, lounge area, storage space, artwork and amenities - there is a tea tray with a kettle etc. as well as a mini fridge with drinks inside. The cruise is all-inclusive but any drinks in the fridge actually will cost you extra, so be careful. I hadn't realised. The cabin does have a cute 'lounge' area which consists of a lounge chair and coffee table - all guests are given a small bottle of Egyptian wine and fruit basket. I also look at the drawers, (showing the location of the box of tissues) mirrors, cupboards and hanging space. Lastly I look at the French Balcony (sometimes called a Juliet Balcony) and view - this isn't a regular balcony that you can sit out on, but it does offer a nice view of the River Nile. And lastly I take a look at the bathroom. Everything's clean and tasteful and excellent value for money, in my opinion, for what you get. This is a fascinating, stimulating and fun cruise which explores the riveting temples and tombs of the ancient Pharaohs of Egypt.
