Welcome back to my channel! If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll know that I’m currently launching my content from my time spent onboard Costa Smeralda earlier this year. This will include a full ship tour, daily vlogs, and also cabin tours, which brings us to this video now! In this video today, I’ll be showing you around my absolutely beautiful ‘Sea Terrace’ cabin onboard Costa Smeralda. This was up on deck 9 of the ship, and is a cabin that I would absolutely recommend in the future. In terms of room hierarchy, a Sea Terrace on Costa isn’t a suite, but does sit above a regular balcony cabin. It’s essentially a balcony cabin (the blueprint of the actual cabin is the same - as is the balcony), but with the addition on an additional room, which serves as a private sunroom. These cabins span across decks 8 and 9 on this ship - the deck 8 variants being relatively controversial as they face out onto the Promenade deck. As you can see here, the deck 9 cabins don’t have the ‘overlooked’ issue as much as you’ll have seen on other ships, for example P&O Iona and P&O Arvia, if you’re more exposed to the UK market. Personally, I loved this addition, especially for the time of year I was cruising in. During those colder mornings, it was so nice to sit out in the sun room and watch the world glide past, without being exposed to the often harsh wind levels that can be experienced on cruise ship balconies and external decks.
