As we explore Santorini, Greece for a month we want to share with you some of our travel tips. We visited the beautiful Greek island of Santorini in 2022, just when the tourist season was picking up. We start off by spending the afternoon exploring Fira for the day, taking a walk down the cliffside to the old port (where the cruise ships' excursions come and go). We decided to skip the cable cars and donkey rides and make the journey back up the 588 steps to the top and wait for the sunset, a must for anyone visiting Santorini. The next day we head to Akrotiri, the Ancient Ruins of Santorini. This is an amazing self-guided tour of ruins thousands of years old. We also took the short walk to Red Beach where the red cliffside and sandy beach drop into the clear blue Mediterranean Sea. The day ended up being so nice and warm that we decided to grab our swimsuits and have a little beach time down at Kamari Beach, just a short bus ride from Mesaria (where our Airbnb is located). Kamari is a small town with restaurants, shops hotels, and resorts we would highly recommend visiting if you are here.
