Embarkation day for our Disney Dream transatlantic cruise from Southampton was, to put it mildly, an utter disappointment. Disney Cruise Line, a name synonymous with excellence and seamless experiences, fell remarkably short of its own standards. Most troubling of all, Disney’s approach to assisting vulnerable passengers with disabilities left much to be desired. In a company that markets itself as family-friendly and inclusive, seeing such gaps in care and consideration was disheartening. This wasn’t just an unfortunate mishap; it was a stark indication that there is significant room for improvement. If you’re planning to board a Disney Cruise from Southampton, be prepared for potential setbacks. Sadly, this isn’t the first time we’ve encountered such issues here — it’s a pattern that needs addressing. That said, once aboard, the magic began to return, reminding us why we chose Disney in the first place.
