We Gave Up Our Alaska Balcony… for an Inside Cabin on Star Princess Day 1

We have cruised Alaska several times, and we have always booked a balcony… until now. For this 7-day Star Princess Alaska cruise, we intentionally gave up our balcony for an inside cabin. Everyone says Alaska is the cruise where you NEED a balcony for the views, wildlife, sailaways, and glacier days. But with Alaska cruise fares, port fees, and excursions adding up quickly, we wanted to find out what it is really like to sail Alaska without a window or balcony. In Day 1, we board Star Princess in Seattle, step inside our no-window cabin for the first time, show the bridge camera that becomes our “window,” share a few important inside-cabin planning tips, find public viewing areas around the ship, and sail away past the Seattle skyline.
