I just love sailing into Juneau, Alaska! You pull in around lunchtime so it is a relaxing port day. The scenery is unreal with mountains, waterfalls, boats and floatplanes all around you! Once docked, we were off to our whale watching excursion!! I cannot tell you how excited we were about this! I have seen whales from our balcony on the ship but never close up. We met the bus at the pier and they whisked us away to the docks where we boarded the newest whale watching boat in Juneau... how cool is that? We saw eagles as we sailed away and SO MANY WHALES!! It really was an incredible experience! We captured a few on our cameras but saw more in person. This is something that everyone should do at least once in their lives. We also visited the oldest lighthouse in Juneau as part of this excursion.
