Listen to the booming sound of QM2's whistles / horn. Queen Mary 2 has an extremely powerful whistle. In fact she has five. There are two positioned on the funnel, one atop the Bridge near the mast, and two on her bow. Of her five whistles, one of her large typhoon whistles are actually an whistle taken from the original Queen Mary of 1936. If you look carefully at this video, you can identify QM2’s Queen Mary whistle. It is the one with ‘steam’ being expelled when sounded (it’s on the funnel). QM2’s primary whistles are an A note, two octaves below middle-A. It can be heard 10 miles away.
