With cruising cancelled until at least the summer, there are several things about cruising we are craving right now. So, in our latest video we share the 10 Things We Already Miss About Cruising. If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! Of course, we want to hear from you. Let us know what aspect of cruising you are longing for in the comments below. With barren supermarkets and a limited menu from our food delivery service, we are both craving the variety of dining options on cruise ships. From casual fare, snacks, and nightly three-course meals in the main dining room, letβs just say our meals at home do not compare. Being quarantined at home with nowhere to go, we both wish we could utilize some of the onboard amenities on cruise ships right about now. Perhaps on the top of our list is the pool deck. Living in the Northeast, we are stuck at home with cool temperatures and little sun. In addition, there are no open facilities like those on a ship's sports deck. No ropes courses, waterslides, go karts, laser tag, and all the other thrilling features found on modern mega-ships. Along with onboard amenities, this social distancing makes us crave those onboard activities. The pool deck parties, themed 80's and 90's parties, as well as other gatherings like trivia, karaoke, and game shows that offer a great chance to interact with fellow cruisers. Our evenings are just not the same being stuck inside watching Netflix. On cruise ships, there is regular nightly entertainment in the main theater, including Broadway style shows and live music in venues around the ship. Not to mention, we lack the bar setup to make those signature cocktails that we love from our favorite bars on cruise ships. There will be no custom martinis, mojitos, or frozen drinks in our foreseeable future.
