2019 Cruise Season from Southampton starts off with 3 Cruise Ships 03/01/19

Well it is a New Year and the new cruise season from Southampton has started off with a bang today the 3rd Jan 2019 with the departure of 3 Cruise Ships, the P&O Cruises "Oceana" & "Aurora" with Cunards "Queen Elizabeth". The P&O Cruises "Oceana" was the very first to depart from the Queen Elizabeth II Cruise Terminal at 16:35pm for a 7 Night Cruise to the Netherlands, Belgium & France. Her very first port of call on this cruise is to Rotterdam. Those who were watching which there were very few were treated to a brilliant firework display which was in honour of the departure of P&O Cruises "Aurora" and those on board the Cunard "Queen Elizabeth" had a good view as well. After the firework display had finished the "Queen Elizabeth" then sailed from the City Cruise Terminal at 17:44pm for a one way repositioning cruise down to Melbourne in Australia where she is expected to arrive on the 10th February. The first port of call for "Queen Elizabeth" is to Vigo in Spain. She will be doing a series of cruises around Australia before sailing from Sydney to Yokohama and slowly making her way back to the UK by calling into various ports around the world. We shall not see her in Southampton again until the 8th August. Soon after "Queen Elizabeth" had sailed then the P&O Cruises "Aurora" sailed from the Mayflower Cruise Terminal at 18:00pm for a 55 Night Cruise to the Amazon, Caribbean and Central America. Her very first port of call on this cruise is to Tenerife in Spain.
