2023 Seatrade Cruise Global Recap

The 2023 Seatrade Cruise Global conference, an annual event for the cruise industry, recently took place in Fort Lauderdale. This year's conference, held at the Ft. Lauderdale Convention Center from March 27-30, provided an opportunity for industry leaders to discuss the latest developments in cruise and travel, network, explore the latest technology, and address sustainability concerns. Many of Port Canaveral's business representatives attended the conference, showcasing the diverse and unique opportunities available at the Port and engaging in new business discussions. Capt. John Murray, Port Canaveral CEO, participated in one of the opening panel discussions, where he discussed the unique approach taken by Port Canaveral to treat each cruise line with an individualized approach based on their needs. Overall, the conference showed that the cruise industry is making a successful restart after the global pandemic, with stakeholders, suppliers, representatives from ports of call, and cruise lines anticipating the best year for the industry since 2019.
