Whether you're an avid cruiser or are cruising for the first time, this video will shed light on what cruises are really like. Forget the old cliches about cruising, as cruises have changed in 2021. Join me as we debunk cruising myths! Here are some of the old cruising myths that we hear from people or even on the media, that are so outdated and not the reality of cruising today. In this fun and information packed cruise video, we go through the following cruise misconceptions and myths, and share some valuable tips for anyone cruising in 2021 and beyond. 1. Cruising is for old people - of course this isn't true. Modern cruise vacations are for every age, from families with kids to seniors and everyone in between. Choosing a cruise line and cruise ship that suits your needs as a cruiser is what's most important. 2. Cruises are dressy and formal - Cruises have changed in recent years and are much less formal than the past. But while this is a cruising myth, there are still dress codes to know. This will help you to decide what cruise line is best for you, as well as what to bring with you for cruise formal nights or chic nights. 3. Cruises are boring - cruise ships are like floating resorts so this is absolutely not true. Depending on the cruise ship, there can be many activities and exciting things to do on the cruise ship. For instance Carnival cruise ships have waterslides and in some cases even a roller coaster. Royal Caribbean cruises have water parks, ziplines and more things to do on the cruise ship. Norwegian cruise line has a ropes course, race cars and offers a very active vacation for those who want this on a cruise. 4. Cruise ships are not safe - this is a cruise myth we may believe if we've never cruised before. However cruise ships have high safety standards and protocols and are very safe. 5. Cruises are crowded and full of kids - This myth about cruising is absolutely untrue. Every cruise ship and cruise line offers a different experience. Cruise lines like Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and Holland America are all large cruise lines that have a less family orientated environment and less amusement park type bells and whistles that some other popular cruise lines. 6. You'll get seasick on a cruise - These days it's not very common to be seasick during a cruise. Modern cruise ships use stabilizers to make the cruise comfortable for passengers. However bring along some seasickness medication just in case, as there can be some motion when seas are rough. 7. Cruises spread... - nope. Cruise ships did not start the health crisis nor perpetuate it. 8. Cruise ships are petri dishes - this term is used so often even in print media and it is not true at all. Cruise ships have used sanitation and disinfection measures and have a very clean environment. As cruises return in 2021, there will be even more changes that are positive and even healthier for cruisers. 9. Cruises are all about eating - This may not be completely true, as of course cruise vacations offer so much more. Entertainment, attentive service, seeing different destinations and being on the ocean, however we can't deny that food on cruise ships is plentiful and quite good! PLANNING A CRUISE?
