A Day in Frederiksted: Stunning Beaches and Local Charm

St Croix in the USVI gave us a memorable experience as we discovered one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever encountered. Sandy Point beach is approx 3 miles away from the cruise dock in Frederiksted but is walkable from the ship. This is a nature reserve however and a nesting site for leatherback turtles. As such access is restricted and prohibited between April and August. This is not a public amenity and there are no facilities on this beach. It is however stunning and one of nature's wonders.
