Celebrity Ascent is anchored off the coast of magical Portofino, Italy! It's Day 3 of our 7-Day Mediterranean Cruise, and we experienced all of the charm and magic we'd ever dreamed possible! There is no place more breathtakingly beautiful in the world than Portofino, Italy! After a pleasant tender into the port, we climbed the hill to the quaint San Giorgio Roman Catholic Church. We stroll through fairytale gardens on our way to Il Faro Lighthouse. Then we experience the breathtaking views and history of Castello Brown. At mid-day, we returned to the harbor and did some shopping at Portofino Piazzetta and explored Chiesa Divo Martino Roman Catholic Church that dates back to the 11th century! Then we dined on authentic Italian cuisine at Delfino Restaurant at the harbor before returning to the Ascent.
