Today we’re taking the scenic route along the Northumberland coast using the X18 bus, travelling from Berwick-upon-Tweed all the way down to Seahouses. This is one of those routes that’s actually worth doing for the journey itself. No car, no stress, just sitting back and watching the coastline go by. Once in Seahouses, we had a wander through the little shops, grabbed some food, and then set off on a walk along the beach towards Bamburgh Castle. It’s one of those walks that looks easy on paper… and then the wind reminds you you’re on the Northumberland coast. We also stopped by the churchyard to visit the grave of Grace Darling, which is a really interesting (and slightly underrated) part of the area’s history. After that, we jumped back on the X18 and headed back to Berwick — simple, easy, and actually a really good way to explore this part of the UK without a car. Want to do this trip yourself? I’ve put together a full blog post over on moosesonthemove.co.uk where I break it all down properly, including: how to catch the X18 bus where it stops (and which stops are actually useful) shop and lunch recommendations in Seahouses tips for the walk to Bamburgh If you’re planning a trip to Northumberland, definitely check that out before you go. 🎥 Mooses on the Move Travel, real life, and everything in between. #BerwickUponTweed #VisitBerwick #Nationaltrust #Farneislands #Seahouses #BamburghCastle #Northumberland #NorthumberlandCoast #UKTravel #BusTravelUK #X18Bus #SeasideVlog #TravelVlog #UKDayTrip #GraceDarling #MoosesOnTheMove
