Creator's Key Takeaways
We had the most beautiful sailing to Ketchikan. It was spectacular.
Totem park, fantastic, really interesting. And then the lumberjack show, my goodness, I need a lumberjack in my life.
I would highly recommend it. Um again, very accessible, really good for all the family, and lots of children there as well.
The scenery is just incredible. So, yes, we were very fortunate and we got to see a whale.

Welcome to our first port day in Alaska of our Discovery Princess Alaska 2023 cruise series. In this video I wake up super early (thanks jet lag) and spend the morning watching the incredible sail in to Ketchikan. We have a balcony breakfast before heading out on our port excursion. In Ketchikan we booked the Totem Pole Park and Lumberjack show combined ticket and it was well worth it in our opinion. I would highly recommend both if you are visiting Ketchikan After the lumberjack show we explored Creek St before making our way back to the ship ahead of our 2:30pm all aboard time. Onboard we watch sailaway before trying the afternoon tea. It was then bak up onto the balcony for scenic cruising and we spotted whales!!!!! Join us for the next video where we enjoy scenic cruising through Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier before arriving in a very wet Juneau. We sailed on Discovery Princess in late June 2023 on a 7 night inside passage roundtrip cruise from Seattle, WA. We visited: π Ketchikan π Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier (scenic cruising) π Juneau π Skagway π Victoria, Canada
